Elementary tutoring programs meet weekly from October-April. Elementary tutoring focuses on reading skills, with students working in one-on-one or very small groups with volunteer and staff tutors to boost reading skills.

Our goal is to make sure each student is on grade level in reading, and makes at least one year of progress each year.

Middle school tutoring programs meet weekly from October-April. Middle school program offers support for each student based on their current achievement levels. Homework help is provided along with supplementary academic activities to help boost reading and math competency. We also help support study skills and encourage the use of planners to keep track of assignments and homework. We have added a character development curriculum to bring awareness of the importance of work ethic and setting goals.

High School tutoring meets weekly from September-May, providing students with individual homework help and establishing a culture of achievement among their peer group. High school tutoring is serving more kids each year, and has begun shifting the goals and dreams of our participants. DinoMights are 3 times more likely to attend college than their peers in our neighborhood, so we are building better support for their post-secondary plans. Our volunteer mentors and staff members are now taking DinoMights’ high school students to visit colleges each year and helping to better support their college readiness through activities like test preparation.
