Academic Tutor

Academic Tutor - Elementary, Middle, High School

Mentor youth. Support basic reading to elementary students in one-on-one setting. Support study skills and homework to middle and high school students.

Time Commitment: Minneapolis Elementary 

  • October - early April.
  • 1-2 hours/week. Tuesdays 5-6pm

Time Commitment: St. Paul Elementary 

  • October - early April.
  • 1-2 hours/week. Wednesdays 5-6pm

Time Commitment: Middle School/ High School 

  • October - May.
  • 2-3 hours/week. Thursdays 6-8pm

INDICATE AGE PREFERENCE AND SCHEDULE AVAILABILITY IN APPLICATION.

Skills Needed:

Educational interest and completed 10th grade+. Training and support provided.

Other Requirements:

Embrace mission of DinoMights. Sensitivity to diversity and love for youth. Pass background check. Attend volunteer training sessions and abide by DinoMights’ policies.

Getting Involved

It's easy to volunteer at DinoMights. Follow these steps to become a volunteer coach or tutor:

  • Prospective volunteers should fill out the application. Click the button on this page or the Volunteer Application link in the menu to download the Volunteer Application Form. (Link is only active when volunteer recruiting is underway for upcoming season.)
  • Selected applicants will be contacted for an interview. There are a limited number of spaces available. Not all applicants will be contacted for an interview.
  • All volunteers should attend training.
